Each year, consumers buy 1.3 billion dollars in Romance Fiction. It’s one of the most lucrative genres in which to write. If you’re interested in trying your hand at writing a romance, or in any popular genre fiction, this class is for you. You’ll learn the basics to get started turning that story idea in your head into a publishable manuscript. She’ll cover the basic structure for romance and any popular genre fiction novel, effective characterization, using “rooting interests” to grab your reader’s attention, and a review of the elements of a page turner.
Instructor: Donna MacMeans is the author of several historical romances published by Penguin Random and three independently published romances.
