Whether you’re writing for a traditional publishing house or self-publishing, and whether your work is fiction or nonfiction, a well-edited book is a must. This class will help you master the basics: opening; closing; pacing; dialogue; description; characterization; plot; and making nonfiction as readable and exciting as the best fiction. We’ll do a few exercises and have a good time—and you should walk away with some good ideas for improving your manuscript.
Instructor: Gretchen Hirsch is Chief Surgeon at Midwest Book Doctors, and critically acclaimed author of several books. In the last four years she has edited approximately 15 books, and is currently at work on the fourth book by one of her favorite authors.
