Founded in 2001, JPMorgan Chase has been the sole corporate sponsor of this program for children's book writers and illustrators that is unique in the country. Thanks to JPMorgan Chase's commitment to education, the authors who have come to Thurber House for the month-long summer residency have been able to reach out in the community and share their experiences and expertise with youngsters in a variety of environments while having time to develop their own works.

We welcome self-guided tours at no charge between 1–4 p.m. everyday except major holidays. Guided tours are available on Sundays, or by appointment, for $4 adults; $2 students and senior citizens.
