Evenings with Authors features nationally
and internationally known writers reading and discussing their
most recent books.
Our Evenings with Authors programming is divided
into two seasons: Winter/Spring (January–May) and Fall (September–November)
with a break in between for our summer programming, Literary
Picnics.
Evenings with Authors begin at 7:30 p.m. The featured guest reads from his or her most recent work, chats about writing, followed by a question-and-answer session with the audience. Each event closes with a coffee and cookies reception and an opportunity to by the author's book(s) and get them signed.
Thurber House Presents The Author's Table
The Author’s Table dinners are a terrific way for a limited number of people to get up close and personal with an author. This is an opportunity not only to share a great meal with your favorite author (or get to know an author new to you), but also to talk about their work in a more intimate setting; to get reserved seating at the event; and to get your book signed ahead of time.
Price for dinner is $40 and includes the reading and reserved seating at the event.
