Reading and dinner tickets are $25; Reading-only tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children twelve and under. Individual dinner tickets must be ordered by 4:00 p.m. on the Monday before each Picnic. Reading-only tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. All tickets are available online by clicking on the Event Tickets link to the left.

Schedule
A typical Literary Picnic evening follows this schedule:
5:20 - 6:00 p.m. – Our Young Docents (pre-teen and teenage tour guides) offer guided tours of Thurber House.

6:15 p.m. –Dinner is served. Order one of our delicious dinners, made fresh by Party Panache catering, or bring your own. If you’d like to order dinner from us, please make your reservation by 4:00 p.m. on the Monday before each Picnic. Vegetarian options are available.

7:00 p.m. –The reading begins. Thurber House remains open after the reading for touring, book buying, and signing.

Please bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. You are also welcome to bring alcoholic beverages. Parking is free after 6:00 p.m. at the meters along Jefferson Avenue. All picnics are held at Thurber House, 77 Jefferson Ave. In case of rain, join us at State Auto Insurance, 518 E. Broad Street for all picnics except July 14, which will be Thurber Center, 91 Jefferson Ave.
