In honor of James Thurber’s artistic legacy, the Thurber Center Gallery located at 91 Jefferson Ave., offers exhibitions of significant artwork by renowned illustrators and cartoonists. Since our first show in 1993, we have hosted more than 30 exhibitions, including cartoonists Jules Feiffer, Roz Chast, Jim Borgman (Zits), Danny Shanahan, and Jeff Smith (Bone). Featured illustrators have included Aminah Robinson, Edward Gorey, Maira Kalman, Floyd Cooper, Chris Raschka, Marc Simont, Mary Azarian, and C. F. Payne. Each exhibition runs for four to six months and opens with a free, public reception.
