Originally from Ohio where her Amish thrillers are set, internationally bestselling author Linda Castillo knew from an early age that she wanted to be a writer—and penned her first novel at the age of thirteen. Linda’s latest thriller, Shamed, is a gripping story of the murder of an Amish grandmother on an abandoned farm, and the abduction of her seven year old granddaughter. Chief of Police Kate Burkholder plunges headlong into a case that quickly becomes a race against time. The family of the missing girl has a good reputation in the community, but Kate soon learns they're keeping secrets—and the sins of their past may be coming back to haunt them. What are they hiding and why?
Linda Castillo has published thirty books and won numerous awards, and has been nominated for a RITA Award. Her debut thriller, Sworn to Silence, and its sequels, are New York Times bestsellers and have garnered starred reviews from Library Journal, Publisher's Weekly, and Booklist. Sworn to Silence was recently adapted into a movie re-titled An Amish Murder, starring Neve Campbell as Kate Burkholder.
