Thurber House Young Writers' Studio

Make your New Year's resolution to join Young Writers' Studio

Why? Because your ___________(story/poem) isn’t getting you anywhere stuck in your___________ (notebook/locker), under a stack of ___________(overdue books/dirty clothes). Get your __________(self/act) together and join other ___________(writers/teens) who want to publish their_______________ (novel/poem/essay) before they ____________(graduate/turn 18/go nuts).

Students in 9th–12th grade share their writing with their peers and grow as writers through constructive criticism led by professional writer Kelli Trinoskey. Have a character that won’t let you sleep? Find you start stories but can’t finish them? Want to publish that novel you’ve been working on for months? Bring your questions to YWS and find the motivation you need to get your writing on track.

All sessions meet from 6:30-8:30 pm at Thurber House, 77 Jefferson Ave., the restored home of author, humorist, and New Yorker cartoonist James Thurber. Cost to attend all ten sessions is $150, non refundable. Space is limited and is first-come, first-served. Fill out the form below and mail it along with your payment to: Young Writers’ Studio, 77 Jefferson Ave., Columbus, OH 43215.

Questions? Call Thurber House at 614-464-1032 ext. 13.
