  • Capital University - Mees Auditorium 1 College and Main Bexley, OH, 43209 United States (map)

To say that Scott Kelly is an astronaut is a huge understatement. He spent a record-breaking year in space. He is a former Navy fighter pilot, a test pilot, and a veteran of four spaceflights. Kelly commanded the space shuttle Endeavour in 2007 and twice commanded the International Space Station.

Kelly will visit Thurber House with his national best seller, Endurance: My Year in Space, A Lifetime of Discovery and the newly released beautiful book of photos, Infinite Wonder: An Astronaut’s Photographs from a Year in Space (release date: October 30, 2018). Endurance is a stunning, personal memoir from the astronaut and modern-day hero who spent a record-breaking year aboard the International Space Station. Kelly has experienced things very few have. He takes us inside a sphere utterly hostile to human life and describes navigating the extreme challenge of long-term spaceflight, both life-threatening and mundane, including the agonizing situation he faced when, with two months left on a space mission, his twin brother's wife, Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, was shot.

All tickets are $65 and include a copy of Endurance: My Year in Space, A Lifetime of Discovery. Books will be available for pick up at the event. All tickets are non-refundable.

Approach the event on College Avenue and follow the event parking signs.
