Join us for a special evening of humor for James Thurber's 121st birthday!
The annual Thurber Birthday Gala shines the spotlight on the previous year's winner of the celebrated Thurber Prize for American Humor. In 2014 the winner was John Kenney, for his hilarious novel, Truth in Advertising.
The evening will be emceed by WOSU Radio Classics host Christopher Purdy.
For a night of good friends, good fun, and award-winning humor, the 2015 Thurber Birthday Gala is the place to be.
Tickets include one drink voucher, dinner, a birthday treat, and entertainment for the evening. Dinner will be:
Regular Entree: Napa Valley Chicken stuffed with creamy goat cheese and fresh baby spinach; chive mashed potatoes with a Pinot Noir demi glace; balsamic grilled asparagus
Vegetarian Entree: Roasted Vegetable Phyllo Purse - roasted vegetable medley baked in phyllo pastry over a bed of roasted red pepper coulis

The Westin Columbus offers valet parking for $12, or self-parking in the lot behind the building for $6. The Columbus Commons parking garage is across the street, located at 55 East Rich Street, with entrances on Main and Rich Streets between High and Third Streets. Hourly rates apply at the parking garage. A limited number of parking meters are available on the surrounding streets.
