We are excited to announce that we’ll be holding a SECOND ROUND of auditions for the. Thurber Theatre Troupe on Thursday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m.!

The Thurber Theatre Troupe is a group of actors performing adaptations of James Thurber’s funniest stories to honor his legacy and keep us all laughing at Thurber’s wit. The Troupe is currently in its early stages and will be developing into a touring group, performing in various locations in and around Columbus for a wide variety of audiences.

Audition Details

When: Thursday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m.
Where: Thurber Center, 91 Jefferson Ave., Columbus, OH 43215

When will the troupe rehearse and perform? Rehearsals will be limited to a total of 22-28 hours on 3-4 days in November and December 2018, and 3-4 hours of brush-up in January or February 2019. Performances will be scheduled around actor availability in early 2019, with one performance currently scheduled for the afternoon of December 18, 2018. Daytime availability is strongly preferred.

What to Bring: Yourself, a completed audition form, a resume, and a headshot. Auditions will consist of readings from a script of Thurber’s adapted stories.

Roles Available: The cast is made up of 3 men and 2 women. The ideal actors will be versatile comedic performers with large range of vocal and physical variety. Each actor will be asked to learn multiple roles to allow for ease with rotating cast members.
