The Thurber Prize for American Humor, one of the highest recognitions of the art of humor writing in the United States, is presented annually to one author of exceptional humor writing. After years of being presented in New York City, this hilarious red carpet event returns to James Thurber’s hometown of Columbus, Ohio to kick off the Year of Thurber. The three Thurber Prize finalists will all read from their nominated books, and at the close of the event, the winner will be announced and presented with the Thurber Prize for American Humor. This is the event of the year—don’t miss it!
The 2018 Thurber Prize for American Humor finalists are Jenny Allen (Would Everybody Please Stop?) John Hodgman (Vacationland), and Patricia Lockwood (Priestdaddy).
