From Our Staff
"I finally found my people."
We hear these words all the time—and they always bring tears to our eyes. Thurber House is proud and fortunate to be a place of connection, inspiration, and joy.
Right now, people of all ages and walks of life are struggling to authentically engage, learn, grow, express themselves, and belong.
Thurber House remains a safe space where creativity thrives, gatherings feel alive, and we celebrate diversity of thought, identity, and lived experience.
However, we’re troubled to see arts programs vanishing from K-12 schools. We’re encountering kids and young adults who are falling behind in reading, writing, and critical thinking.
So, we ask ourselves, “What more can Thurber House do to make tomorrow better?” The answer? So much.
With your gift, we will continue to be an inclusive and empowering space for people of all backgrounds to come together, learn from each other, find belonging, and return that positive impact to the world.
This is our commitment as a beacon of community, creativity, enrichment, and hope.
Please take a moment today and donate to Thurber House. Your support sustains our work and strengthens our impact in this moment when people need us most. We can't do this without you.
